Dammmmnnnnnn.....

It is stuff like these which give you goose bumps!

The Development Team

With me now pursuing a Diploma in IT, learning programming and IT related stuff, it just makes me appreciate RuneScape even more. I have been playing it for 5+ years, i have seen how much the game has grown, i have seen how much more competitive the gaming industry has become.
And considering RuneScape has a free to play version of it, i applaud the Jagex team for it.
Even for the pay to play version, Jagex charges a pretty manageable sum, considering how much work must be done for every single update to the game.

Mentioning update, the most recent skill updated would be Dungeoneering. Totally awesome skill and really creative from my point of view. As i am also learning programming, i do know how tough and frustrating it is just to do the coding part. Not to mention the animation and sounds and graphics. When it comes together, it is just mind blowing!!

I am already pulling my hair out when programming applications which require so much less thinking and considerations. So it is not the game which is awesome, but the development team. It is them who put life into the game, i salute them for not giving up on this endeavour, and i totally appreciate their work of art.

Chinese Pop

When it comes to music, i haven't really listen to Chinese Pop before. But Jay Chou might just be the first Chinese artist to get me interested in it. Years ago, or maybe even now, sometimes when i go to the LAN for gaming i will hear bits and pieces of Chinese Pop music blasting from different speakers. Some sounded quite good, just like this one by Jay Chou which is unconsciously dangling somewhere in my mind ever since the first time i heard it. Searched up some of his songs, and though i agree that he doesn't pronunciate very well, but basically i think the music sounds good. That's all that matters isn't it?

The stronghold has fallen

Indeed it has............Unfortunate, yet not totally unexpected, due to so many morons who have no brains living in Aljunied. Good job assholes, you guys did it this time. Losing 2 ministers for more alternative voices? Farking smart people, your intellectual abilities does not beat that of a bird.
Good bye George Yeo, we(hopefully there are) will always remember the things which you have done for us, good luck in your future endeavours.
And to the opposition which grabbed Aljunied? I'll be farking watching you, if you're not going to improve Aljunied then at least don't deprove it. It is the least you can do?

Nostalgia RuneScape

Sometimes, when i drop down my favourites bar, just sometimes......i will notice 'RuneScape'.
The MMORPG that has grew up with me ever since when i was Primary 6.
The days when the graphics were crappy, yet kept us contented.
When we will not waste a single second from being online, killing NPCs with friends, or just walking into Wildy for the thrill.
Training skills repeatedly, when you know that it is dumb to continuously press the same buttons and not learn anything from it. Yet you do not want to fall behind your friends in your skill levels.

Then alas, there came a time when your friends started leaving the game.
One by one, till you are the only one left.
You were there to witness all the improvements in the game.
The new skills, training areas and quests which were released.
You even signed up to be a member to fully access all the skills and areas in RuneScape.

Though after going through IT studies, you realized that what you have been playing all this time has actually been programmed and created by someone.
That avatar which you had been training for years, was actually no more than bits and bytes, easily erased from the Database by the administrator. You will forever be in the mercy of the game creators, with just a simple click you might have never existed in RuneScape at all.

But you are obliged to continue playing the game, after so much effort had been put into it.
All the memories which you could not let got off. Though repetitive but yet exciting times of slashing monsters and hoping for a rare item drop. And when you do? You will broadcast to the world, saying you have received a super rare item from an NPC(non-player controlled).
Why are you so happy? It has been programmed to drop rare items based on a mathematical calculation, your luck to receive that particular rare item is actually controlled by another human being. Isn't it laughable? Yet you still feel this sense of achievement, while the other human being is actually laughing his ass off to how much time you have committed to getting that rare item.

But i have to say, RuneScape is programmed really well. The places which have been created virtually can actually be embedded deeply in my heart at certain points of time in my life.
Some gave you a sense of tranquility, others a sense of excitement and fear of the unknown.
The music constantly ring through your ears, reminding you off all the places you have been in RuneScape. The experiences with friends, no matter happiness or sadness or perhaps even anger.

You still do not want to let go of the game because of all these wonderful memories.
The quests which bring such a magical feel and how you wish RuneScape was real.
Then as you got older, and more mature.
You realized that your time in the game was long over, the time for the younger generation to take power in RuneScape has arrived.
None of your friends play the game any longer, and what wonderful memories you have of the game shall forever remain as unforgettable memories.

You eventually stop playing the game altogether, but yet still reminisce the times secretly.
Knowing that your friends have moved on to greater things, and you shall not fall behind.
Yet sometimes with the rare stumbles upon names of places in RuneScape, the Nostalgia just totally fills you up.
You feel like crying, yet not till the extent of tears being formed.
Your heart feels heavy with the taste of sourness feeling your senses.
But you do know that the experiences you have had in RuneScape shall forever be left in the past and will only exist as good memories in your heart.

You can go right back to RuneScape and start playing again, but the feeling, the emotions felt, will never ever be same as those felt in the past, when the graphics were still shitty and botters were running rampant around RuneScape.
Somethings just have to be kept the same, to preserve the experiences experienced, the feelings and emotions felt.
But it can never happen with the world we live in today.
Everything is forever progressing, for the better. New experiences will be experienced and new feelings will be felt, but no one feeling felt on any occasion will be the same as another.

So i shall with a heavy heart officially announce that i have left RuneScape, the virtual magical which has left me with so many wonderful memories of my childhood gaming life.
I shall forever remember this game, it has been part of my childhood and teenage life.
Hopefully the experiences i have had in the game will benefit me in the future as i proceed on to enter young adulthood.

Thank You Jagex for creating such a wonderful game, many more children will come to benefit from your creation with generations to come.
Thank You 'Qibai' (if you were actually a real person lol), my avatar in RuneScape.
I created 'you' with the imagination of my dream girl.
A young but yet skilled maiden warrior, who is stood in awe and inspires the good, but feared by the evil.
Intellectual and yet willing to share. Born gorgeous but yet humble.
Always there to help friends whom are in need. (of course monetary issues are sensitive lol, not just in real life but in Runescape too)
'You' are the maiden whom all warriors wish to be with.

Good bye 'Qibai', Thanks so so much for all the memories.
You shall forever be in my heart. Good bye Runescape, it has been a good 5 years.
Continue to improve and i shall come back to see you one day.
It is time for me to move on...........................................................

Thor X2

Had a gathering with my secondary school clique last night.
Movie came first this time, THOR!
The story line is so-so, predictable. But oh well, all the marvel heroes are starting to have film representations, so as to set the setting for THE AVENGERS.
After THOR should come CAPTAIN AMERICA. Then the AVENGERS will be complete.
As i was saying, we watched the film and then carried on to have dinner at around 9+?

Had dinner at this restaurant that comprised of 4 restaurants all together. The most prominent one to me is of course Ajisen Ramen! Woot!
Ordered the set meal, no... set meal doesn't mean cheap, but cheaper.
Still cost round 16 bucks.. ouch. I earn less than that a day during my internship.

Oh and did i mention the movie was 3D so it cost 14 dollars on weekends? Double OUCH!
After dinner, some went home and we also walked all the way from NEX, Serangoon back to Hougang. So by the time we reached Hougang, there was only Zane, Soon Heng, Xiang An and me left. Camped near by my house's Harmony Park and talk cock session.

Soon Heng had to go half way, and so we bet farewell.
And can you believe we continued talking till 5.30am in the morning? Just camping at the Park?
We talked bout lots of shits, primarily girls of course, then went on to have some beatbox freestyle with Xiang An lol. Also taught Zane some of the basics of beatboxing. Will be cool if he actually learned it, then there will be the beat box trio lol.

So sent them home on the first bus of the day. Zane walked home instead as his first bus still needed a waiting time of 45 mins. In 30 mins he will already be home if he walked. So he eventually decided on the option.
Ahh......All these talks with friends, very soon another batch of them will be entering the army, Then my time will come. Remember to keep in contact with your friends, you never know when you will need them to be there for you.

Oh and if you notice my post title is Thor X2, that's because i went to watch it the second time with my parents today LOL! I have a strange ability to be able to watch films more than once, and yet not feel bored. ok.... some might be boring the second round cause maybe they do not have so much of the 'WOW' factor.

Alright.... Movies that i will be anticipating for will be Transformer 3 Dark Moon, Green Lantern, Captain America. That will be all for now people.
Oh and if you wanna ask me anything or just wanna have a chat, feel free to just use the chatbox on the left.
