Good Nic's Friday Birthday

So it was Good Friday 2 days ago and also Nic's Birthday!

Not just any birthday, but his 21st! Finally an adult! Wonder whether that is a good or bad thing.

So he booked this restaurant that goes by Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant located at Singapore Riverside Hotel. No not the entire restaurant but 2 long tables for probably 30 people?

It was an Indonesian food buffet, and the place was pretty posh. Pretty cool place for a 21st B Day.

Food consisted of (hopefully covers all),

Ox Tail Soup(F-ing nice!),

Tom Yam Noodles, Curry Mutton, Deep fried chicken in some sweet/salty dark sauce,

Pan fried Fish. I think this will be just the few that i name. Otherwise i'll probably go on for quite awhile and bore you to death lol.

So Nic also invited some Chio Bu friends, not gonna name any but those who were there will know who are they lol. Hard to miss.

Then carried on with the Cake cutting, which the design of the customized cake is pretty ownage.

The cake was in the shape of a Desktop Computer. Shiok!

However the keyboard anyhow design one lah! Keys all in the wrong place lol.

And also cannot draw the Microsoft logo LOL! Copyright!

So that more or less ended the Dinner.

After that some wanted to play lan or watch movie but 2 ideas eventually failed to realize.

Since it was a public holiday, most probably both options will be wiped out with many people having the same idea, which also means that tickets will be sold out for movies and no place for 10+ people at the lan.

So tried out the idea of going to a club/pub.

Honestly i don't really like night life, but oh well.

But the idea failed as well lol. Those people there smoke like there is no tomorrow, super crowed.

So in the end just bought some drinks from 7-11 and sat above the Singapore River.

The other bought alcoholic ones, but i didn't like them so decided to buy some H20 sport drink cause it was on discount...LOL! Like dam cheap skate right ahahahah!

After that lucky still got bus back to Hougang, number 51 i think? Heng ar.

So i made it back without being drunk or any crap

(not that i have been drunk before or anything)

However Happy 21st once again Nic!! =)

The Next Milestone

A cloud of uncertainty.

A trail of mystery.

Shrouded in them might contain the most valuable treasures for the mind,

but watch out if you are walking in totally blind.

Time for me to leave that comfort zone yet again, and progress into the working world.

Internship starts tomorrow, at Ministry of Home Affairs.

Security reasons, no camera phones or any that can store information from a computer.

Meaning also no thumb drives, much less MP3, which also means no music!! Holy shit.......

I am going to get pretty uncontactable (by the way there is no such word 0,o) for the next 5 months, why? Cause i can't have my phone with me -,-

Got to like keep it in a locker before entering the premises.... sad case...

Rio Outing

Had an outing with Derek, Botter, Nic and his friends.

After a couple of minutes deciding which movie to watch (there wasn't any good movies i knew screening this season)

we decided on RIO! Cause it was the only animated film out of all the other lame movies.

Generally i tend to enjoy animated films more too =)

It actually takes more effort to produce an animated film you know??

And you know what?? The film did not disappoint me one bit at all!!

Such a great mixture of romance and comedy, actually comedy makes up 80% of it, and it is totally hilarious!

Anyway the animated films nowadays are totally awesome, i caught the snip preview of Kung Fu Panda 2 and it looks awesome too!! Will be watching out for that one.

So overall had a great movie experience once again.

After that went to play LAN. Dota inhouse baby!!

But my team was at a disadvantage, it was a 5v4 match.

But we still won!!!Woooooooooo!!! Well fought game =)

Then moved on to CS which i wasn't very good at, but still got some kills although i might be the lowest scorer lol.

Had supper after that at the mini food court opposite Grand Central Hotel (hope i got that right 0.o?) Honestly, for a $6 Hokkien Mee there? It is the smallest size and it's a total rip off....

Oh well.....Orchard Road(road where you can overprice stuff at will)

And now i'm back! =)

Dye Dye Dye

Dyed my hair the second time. With the help of my cousin of course.

Same colour, brown.

He too dyed his hair, but he went for blonde! Zai!

Also my auntie bought an SNSD cup for me =)!!!! Woooooooooo!

Thank you Ah Yi!! Of course my cousin who is also a SONE chose the cup, thanks too =).

Oh and i am also obsessed with the piano recently.

Due to the influence from Secret by Jay Chou.

Currently trying to perfect Lu Xiao Yu from the film, really nice piece.

Then last night i came across lots of pokemon themes piano covers.

They were awesome!!!!!Really awesome!! The nostalgia kicks in and certain themes just make you wanna cry. This is one of my favourite.

Battle Los Angeles

Before that.

Nic wanted to go meet up with some girls he got to know through FB.

And the strange thing was it wasn't him that added them, but they who added him.

They also initiated the meet up.

So i arrived late, but thank god i arrived late or i would have wasted even more time.

You know when they say don't look at appearance. But with Technology and PHOTOSHOP nowadays, even a fat person can be made to look thin.

So apparently these girls whom we met up with, one looked quite chio, but is just a lying bitch.

Saying she's from china and can't speak english, AND is single.

Sadly, both aren't facts. Gotta respect yourself and your bf more i guess??

The other has heavily photo shopped photos on her FB.

No problem with photo shopping, but come on don't trick guys into meeting up with you this way. Really make yourself to turn out like a whore.

And worst thing? Both are anti social. Ask for a meet up and hardly any conversation? FAIL.

So god rid of them as soon as possible and head off to Iluma to get the movie tickets.

Was thinking between SuckerPunch and Battle Los Angeles.

Heard SuckerPunch was shit, so decided on the title above.

OK... Bribri's movie review:

Movie plot? Pretty no brainer and shitty. Can almost predict the ending from the first 5 mins.

The battle scenes were alright. Just alright.

So maybe a 6.5/10 rating for me??

I only liked the close resemblance to the game Starcraft 2.

So the movie concerns aliens coming to Earth to attack us. (Oh another one of those alien invasions......)

Surprisingly, these aliens are rather primitive.

They can't teleport, don't have those laser weapons or whatever, so don't even bothering asking whether they have some super ownage high technology weapon.

But one thing is for sure though, they are definitely tougher to kill then humans. (always the case)

But apparently the weapons they use seem to be similar to ours, automatic rifles and stuff.

Though they have unmanned aerial machinery, but come on we have them too, only maybe not as technologically advanced as theirs.

The aliens are only more technologically advanced in the area where their machinery runs on liquid H2O...Yes, water.

So apparently we are not yet commercialized in this area, so our machinery still runs on oil??

Other than that, the whole movie just concentrates on a group of marines trying to save some survivors, but losing more people than they saved. Ironic.

90% of the time, it is battle scenes and more battle scenes.

So if you're one of those war head enthusiast, this film is for you!

Anyway i mention that this film has close resemblance to Starcraft 2 right?

So the marines are the Terran marines of course.

The aliens? Protoss baby! But they aren't as cool as the protoss of course, but close enough i guess.

But the movie which portrays the best resemblance ever would be Alien VS Predator.

Alien is of course the ZERG!!! 99% resemblance to the Zerg Hydralisk i tell you!

The predator of course resembles the Protoss Zealot, but the predator does have range weapons though.

Another movie which resembles Starcraft 2 just as much would be Starship Troopers.

Any Starcraft player will tell you that the movie TOTALLY resembles the epic battle between the Terran and Zerg. Even the aliens in Starship Troopers 100% resembles the zerg. Of course the marines in the movie also totally resembles the Terran marines.

So i believe Starship Troopers resembles Starcraft 2 more than Alien VS Predator.

lol just realized that this post should be reviewing on Battle Los Angeles instead. But oh well, you just get carried away at times...
